is registration for webnews free?

Absolutely! You can also use webnews without registration, but we require registration in order to:

• view binaries groups (many of which have mature content)
• post messages
• keep saved preferences, 'subscribed' newsgroups, and track articles read
• 'watch' newsgroups for posts with certain keywords or for replies to your messages

To ask for a newsgroup, just ask us by writing to the webmaster.

there is a ton of spam in a particular newsgroup! Can you help remove it?

Of course; please let us know the Message-IDs of the spam messages using this form. Note that we can only cancel articles at webnews (locally).
